Teaching Robots

Working closely with the Ergopedia team, we have developed an innovative teaching robot that enables high school students to learn about physics and engineering in a fun and interactive way.

Our role in this project has been developing the full mechanical platform and integrating all of the electronics.  This has included developing a variety of plastic parts taking into account best practices for low-cost, straight pull rapid tooling methods.  We have also integrated motors, encoders and PCBs into the mechanical layout.

The project started with developing sketch level concepts and involved developing subsystem breadboards, alpha prototypes and production-level beta prototypes that will be used for in-classroom evaluation.  Perhaps the most rewarding part of this project has been collaborating closely with the experienced, creative and personable Ergopedia team.

More coming soon..
