Bridging the gap between the lab bench and the manufacturing floor is a process that we know well. In these projects we take a very collaborative approach with our clients. This means operating onsite as needed to efficiently transfer knowledge and constraints about the technology. Close interaction with the technology team is required throughout the process to ensure that the proposed engineering and manufacturing solutions are compliant with the parameters of the technology.
From optical scanning technologies to thermal sensing, robotic, and new material technologies, we have extensive experience in the high-tech commercialization process. Most of these projects involve the development of Gen 1 devices. This process is fundamentally different than developing follow-on products.
Defining product architectures, iterating core subsystems, identifying appropriate manufacturing methods, and building reliable supply chains to launch production are among the key tasks involved in the new technology commercialization process.
